JBS Parade Ground to MG Bus Station is the whole Green Line, from one terminal to the other. It links the two main bus terminals in the city: the Jubilee Bus Station in Secunderabad and the Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station near Koti. The ride is short and direct, and it saves a slow road trip through some of the most crowded parts of central Hyderabad.

Step by step

  1. Board the Green Line at JBS Parade Ground on the platform marked towards MG Bus Station.
  2. Ride 8 stops (about 20 minutes) to MG Bus Station. The stop before it is Sultan Bazaar, so start moving to the doors there.
  3. Get down at MG Bus Station. Keep your ticket or card ready to open the exit gate.

Who uses this route

Travellers changing between buses at the two terminals use it most, along with students heading to the coaching centres around RTC Cross Roads and Chikkadpally, and shoppers going to the markets near Sultan Bazaar and Koti.

Best time to travel

The Green Line is usually less crowded than the Red and Blue Lines. It gets busier in the evening around RTC Cross Roads, where the cinemas and restaurants draw crowds, and around festival shopping seasons near Sultan Bazaar.

Starting at JBS Parade Ground

JBS Parade Ground is next to the Jubilee Bus Station. If you are arriving from the Blue Line instead, you walk across to it from Parade Ground station through the connecting walkway, which takes several minutes.

Arriving at MG Bus Station

MG Bus Station is a large interchange station with direct access to the bus terminal and the Red Line. Follow the exit signs for the bus terminal if you are catching a long-distance bus.

Other options

If you are heading to the city centre or Nampally, change at MG Bus Station to the Red Line towards Miyapur. For the old city, the metro does not go further south yet, so continue by road from MG Bus Station.

Yes, but you have to walk across to Parade Ground station on the Blue Line through the connecting walkway.
