Who uses this route

The route carries a large share of the city's east-west commute. Residents of Nagole, Uppal and Habsiguda use it to reach the IT corridor, and people travelling from the western offices to the Uppal stadium for cricket matches use it in the other direction.

Best time to travel

The busiest stretch is between Ameerpet and HITEC City in the morning. Boarding at Nagole, a terminal, gives you a good chance of a seat for the whole ride. On match days at the stadium, trains through Stadium and Uppal are much fuller before and after the game.

Starting at Nagole

Nagole is the eastern terminal of the Blue Line and the end point for many riders from the Vijayawada highway side. Arriving a few minutes before departure usually gets you a seat.

Arriving at Raidurg

Raidurg is the western terminal and the closest station to the Financial District and Gachibowli. Many offices run shuttle buses from near the station, and autos and bike taxis wait at the exits.

Other options

If your destination is closer to HITEC City or Madhapur, get down one or two stops earlier on the same train. There is no faster metro route between these two areas.

Tickets for this trip

Common questions

Do I need to change trains between Nagole and Raidurg?

No. Both are on the Blue Line, so it is one direct train.

How long does the full Blue Line take?

Around 55 minutes from Nagole to Raidurg.

Which platform do I take at Nagole?

Take the Blue Line platform marked towards Raidurg. Platform signs in Hyderabad name the last station in each direction rather than a platform number.

What are the first and last train times?

The first trains leave the terminal stations at 6:00 and the last trains at 23:00. Trains pass mid-line stations a little after those times, so leave extra time for a late trip, especially one with a change.
